MAGMAacademy attends course in Santa Catarina

On September 17th and 18th, the course was held: Design and process for steel casting for technicians, project, process and quality engineers with the objective of understanding the fundamental design and process concepts for steel casting. The event took place at the SIMEC - Caravaggio / Nova Veneza Metallurgical Industries and Electrical Material Trade Union in Santa Catarina.

With limited space, the course was attended by more than 15 professionals from ten different companies and reinforced the commitment of Magma Engenharia do Brasil and MAGMAacademy to the dissemination of content relevant to the foundry sector that adds value to companies and facilitate the day-to-day life of professionals.

The lecturers Joern Schmidt and Vinícius Úbeda from MAGMA, through a theoretical vision, approached the principles of steel casting with a focus on the discussion of classification, manufacturing process, filling design, feeding and casting defects. The simulation of the process used as a tool to facilitate and improve the day-to-day production, increasing the final quality of the cast and optimizing resources was widely discussed during the course, which achieved positive results and excellent technical interaction among all participants.
